Lore
Igbys live in large colonies in plains and forests, where they feed on various berries, fruits, and flowers. These colonies construct massive hives, typically in secluded areas. Their entire lives are dedicated to maintaining these hives, all the while producing their famous hot-honey. This honey is said to have soothing properties. Whether eaten or applied on the skin, it inflicts the user with a state of bliss, leaving the user feeling relaxed and refreshed. Rarely, there have been cases of people suffering burns from the honey if it is harvested too early, against the hiveʼs will. As highly social creatures, Igbys enjoy sharing their special honey as a gift. In Valhalla, being visited by one is considered a sign of good luck. However, they usually expect something in return - materials for their hive. If someone consistently provides these materials, these Veras will make sure to visit them regularly, offering food and protection. Even though they typically posses a friendly disposition, their temperament can quickly shift, as they are quite literally hot-headed.
